I can't help but notice how different we all are.
These experiences that fill our buckets - whether sought after or involuntarily spilled over us . . .
we are who we chose to become after stirring the pot of things we didn't want to happen
into a brew that inevitably others look at and examine.

To me, the most beautiful are those who take the worst stenches
given to them and plead,
crave,
wrestle through the roughest patches to
save hope
and recommit to covenants
with a broader mind
and a softer heart.

mmm, yes. Make us softer. Jared likes the Tao Te Ching. He recently posted this on his blog, a quote from it

When people are born they are gentle and soft,
At death they are hard and stiff.
When plants are alive they are soft and delicate,
when they die they wither and dry up.
Therefore the hard and stiff are followers of death.
The gentle and soft are the followers of life. (76)

Nothing in the world is softer than water,
Yet nothing is better at overcoming the hard and strong.
This is because nothing can alter it.
The soft overcomes the hard
And the gentle overcomes the aggressive. (78)

I like what you've been writing lately. It feels beautiful, and so applicable to my life. It makes me miss YOU too, times when we've been so close to see eye to eye. So often, I've felt understanding with you.

I miss our loud out laughing, stress-free rehearsals. We never felt lonely then.
