My favorite comment on the photos below came from Nadine, a loud loving jewish mother of one of my students. "Those pictures were dangerous!" she smiled as she came in for her daughter's lesson today.
"why?" I wondered.
"That big belly in those tiny slot canyons! I thought you were going to get stuck!!"

you may know this, but if not, it is a line from "Angel from Montgomery", written by John Prine, and most memorably recorded by Bonnie Raitt. i'm sure amy does a bang up job sigining it too...but you must hear bonnie [if you haven't].
